  OFFICER DUTIES:

  President

   Set and hold meetings as needed.

   Oversee all board/committees.

  Make weather decisions with secretary on event days, advise     course

 Emcee end of season celebration party.

 Make plans for the following year.

 Order prizes for Championship trophies. 

  Vice President

Request POA Golf Calendar for the upcoming year from Golf Department.

Work with Secretary on courses and games to be played.

Set up Events Schedule for the year with events to be played.

Give Events Schedule to Golf Department 90 days in advance.

Set rules of play for each event.

Type any new rules and email them to Pairings Coordinator for attachment to scorecards.  Rules are on the Schedule.

Secretary

Set up and maintain website.

Send applications to Treasurer and create/maintain roster.

Create the signups for each weeks event.

Send signups to Pairings Chair then post pairings and results from Scorers  to the Voice.

Communicate with membership via email.

Work with Vice President on courses and games to be played.

Make weather decisions with President on event days, advise members.

Take pictures for website and/or publicity in the newspaper.

Send weekly results to the Voice.

 Treasurer

 Set up and maintain bank account.

 Receive dues from applicants and deposit same.

 Maintain a weekly list of winners from Scoring Chair.

 Maintain a list of weekly participants for awarding 1/2 point for    participation.

  •    Pay for web site and domain
  •    Pay vendor for end of year celebration party
  •    Determine amount of prize money for each team
  •    Distribute prize money at end of year celebration party

 Handicap Chair

Keep the standards of the USGA GHIN system and the Arkansas State Golf Association

Post scores from individual events

 Monitor handicaps and make necessary tee adjustments either up or down according to trends        

 Pairings Coordinator

   Receive sign-ups from Secretary each week

   Get current handicaps from GHIN 

   Use Pairings program to set the pairings for the week

   Send the pairings to the POA T-times and update them on any cancels/additions

   Send Pairings to the Secretary to post on the website

   Print score cards and rules

   Take score cards to Pro Shop for players at check-in

Scoring Chair

   Have box at Pro Shop for all score cards to be placed in

   Pick up box after final team finishes

   Check scores and determine winners (% of field)

   Send list of winners to Secretary for posting

   Send list of winners to Treasurer for prizes

   Send Starter's list with final revisions to Treasurer each week for participation pts.   

Social/Membership/Publicity Chair

 Solicit new members utilizing various methods including              attending Newcomer                  

 Meetings and posting flyers/applications, etc.     

 Chair planning of pre-season Meet & Greet Party 

 Arrange for food/drink specials with course restaurants for our events

 Plan end of season celebration party

 Write articles and take pictures to be submitted to The Voice to promote Couples Golf
